Texas A&M University Institute of Advanced Studies

2012-13 Faculty Fellows

Created to bring world-class scholars to Texas A&M for extended visits to work with resident faculty and top students, The Texas A&M University Institute for Advanced Study (TIAS) inducted its inaugural “class” in January 2013. Assuming the title of TIAS Faculty Fellows, these eminent teachers and researchers included a Nobel Memorial Prize-winner, a fellow of the Royal Society in England, and members of the National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Sciences, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The TIAS Faculty Fellows were formally introduced to the campus community on January 25 at a banquet attended by several members of The Texas A&M System Board of Regents and numerous high-level University administrators, deans, and prominent members of the faculty.
